Sometimes the interesting part is already there. Photography is teaching me to slow down and notice things I might otherwise walk straight past — light, texture, weather, unusual perspectives and small details hidden in familiar surroundings.

The Beauty Within
The Beauty Within began with an afternoon spent looking for inspiration. On my way home, I found myself noticing the familiar landscape around me differently — the structure of bare branches, light catching against bark, the contrast of flowers against the landscape and small signs that winter was beginning to give way to spring.
